Trend Monitoring

More and more parts of DMO's work are driven by current, short-term developments: technological developments, changing needs of travelers, increased demand for sustainable products. Keeping track of all this and understanding the impact of individual developments on their own work and on the actions of companies in the region is a major challenge for many DMOs. We provide orientation and translate trends and hypes into concrete and understandable statements. Together, we develop adaptation strategies for what is really relevant, as well as arguments and support for consciously ignoring some developments.

Artificial intelligence

The possibilities of artificial intelligence have been the technology topic of the moment since the end of 2022.
The possibilities seem endless and the gold rush has long since begun.
It is hardly surprising that a cross-sector industry such as tourism is not spared from this development.
The potential applications are endless and in just a few years we will see completely different travel experiences and services than we do today!
Artificial intelligence already offers enormous opportunities in operational work and some destinations are already using the possibilities in marketing, monitoring and communication.
We will be happy to support you in identifying suitable solutions and assist you with their design and implementation.
But one question must be allowed: Is this what we should be doing with the infinite possibilities?
Is it right to use this incredible potential for “business as usual” or should the question not rather be how artificial intelligence can be used to work on the big issues? Social Justice, Sustainability, Neutral Information Systems, Inclusion, …
We strongly advocate this approach and are very happy to support projects that focus on the impact and purpose-oriented use of artificial intelligence.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a cross-cutting discipline, but far too rarely is this principle considered as such.
Although all areas of our lives call for sustainability, it is seen as a separate issue and a supposed trend.
An ecological, social and economic sustainability principle is needed in all areas of the company.
And for the industry to be sustainable, it needs to establish and learn how to implement these practices in all areas.
Transparency and commitment provide a breeding ground for this.
Empowering and motivating people to trust and take responsibility is a catalyst for sustainable practices that serve a wide range of stakeholder groups.
We are passionate about this topic and believe that people are capable of driving sustainable change.
If you want to set new industry standards with us and make a serious contribution to the common good, then challenge us.

New Work

The topic of NewWork is still on everyone’s lips and the impact of major developments such as digitalization, urban-rural issues and the gradual establishment of alternative living concepts are making the topic increasingly relevant.
These developments pose challenges for tourism companies per se, but the topic also has a number of implications in a regional context.
As a team that works remotely and is oriented towards the common good, we live the NewWork theme from all perspectives: In the workplace and project design as well as in the opportunities for workation or in the agile company processes and open salary and shareholder structures.
We would be happy to tell you more about our approach and work with you to identify potential ways in which DMOs and regions can also benefit from this topic.
We pay particular attention to the topic of workation, which we regularly use both individually and as a team.
We are happy to contribute our experience on requirements, competition and market opportunities when advising DMOs and tourist information centers.
We are also happy to provide assessments of the orientation towards this exciting new target group on the basis of (blind) audits in local businesses.
